I'm Verity and the human behind Wags and Wiggles.
For the last 25 years I’ve been fortunate enough to have a career I’ve loved that has taken me to every corner of the world,
serving in the Army.

2021, I lost my hearing in one ear.
After multiple bewildered doctors attempting to figure out the reason for my hearing loss,
I finally had it confirmed - I have a rare type of benign tumour.
And just like that, my journey in the army came abruptly to a halt, I was being medically discharged.


With a combination of my sudden hearing loss, the end of the career I loved,
and multiple failed IVF attempts…I hit my lowest point. I had a mental breakdown.

Perdy became my reason. My reason to get up in the mornings.
Tail wagging and bum wiggling, I got up, even on my lowest days because of her.

I found myself re-evaluating my whole future. What would my life look like outside of the Army?
I thought about the things I love most and what I would WANT my future to look like.
The one thing that kept coming up, animals.
DOGS!


I grew up with dogs, I adore them. Back when I was deployed in Afghanistan
(leaving behind a 5 month old Perdy)
I would get my family to send me dog treats in my morale parcels,
so I could go and visit the military dogs that lived with us on camp.
That way I was able to get my dog fix for the 9 months I was away!

My life at home soon shifted to revolve around my little diva Perdy, and now her tiny terror of a sister, Daisy!
I want nothing short of the best for them: healthy treats, enrichment activities, beautiful accessories for them!
